Manufacturing & quality

Quality is a process, not a promise

The quality of a damper cannot be judged by eye — they all look the same on the line, and only three months of use tells the truth. So we break quality control into recordable steps, so every batch is traceable instead of resting on a claim.

01 — QUALITY FLOW

Four steps, one closed loop

From incoming material to shipment, every step has a defined criterion and a record. The critical one is the second: catching a deviation at the workstation rather than at the customer.

01

Incoming inspection

Raw materials and incoming parts are sampled against standard; non-conforming lots are segregated before they reach the line.

02

In-process control

Key assembly parameters are monitored in line and deviations fed back to the workstation — not discovered at shipment.

03

Outgoing inspection

Finished goods are batch-sampled for damping force and life; records are retained and traceable by batch number.

04

Documentation

Datasheets, material certificates, test reports and compliance documents on request, to support your supplier audit.

All inspection data and batch records are retained and traceable; customers can request the report for their batch number.
02 — CAPABILITY

Which processes happen in-house

Doing the process in-house is what makes lead time and quality controllable. Tooling, moulding, metal machining, assembly and final inspection all happen under our own roof — no waiting on outside shops between steps.

01

Tooling

In-house tooling means new developments and mould changes do not wait on an outside shop.

02

Plastic moulding

Moulding and dimensional control of critical plastic parts such as seats and seals.

03

Metalworking

Machining and surface treatment of cylinders, piston rods and related metal parts.

04

Assembly

Filling, sealing, assembly and packing run on the line with key parameters monitored.

05

Inspection

Batch sampling and record-keeping for damping force, stroke, sealing and appearance.

03 — TESTING

What we test

Dampers mostly fail where you cannot see it — seal ageing, force decay, batch drift. These are the directions we test.

01
Damping force & velocity curve Confirming the actual force sits inside the specified band, and that deceleration is linear.
02
Endurance & life testing The drawing requires no failure within 100,000 cycles; force decay is tracked throughout.
03
Stroke & dimensional check Batch consistency of stroke, mounting hole centres and overall dimensions.
04
Seal integrity & leakage The one furniture and appliance clients care about most — leakage turns directly into complaints and rework.
05
Appearance & finish Plating uniformity, colour deviation and assembly appearance, sampled per batch.
06
Temperature performance Our drawings specify −20 °C to +60 °C. Batch parts are verified against this range.

04 — ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA

The acceptance criteria are on the drawing

Inspection is not a judgement call. Every line maps to a clause on the drawing. These are the actual clauses we work to — read the drawing and you know exactly how your parts will be judged.

01
Dimensions & tolerances Unspecified tolerances follow GB/T 1804-f. Dimensions marked * are critical and checked piece by piece.
02
Appearance Bright surface, free of warping, flash, short shots and sink marks.
03
Feel & fit Smooth travel; trial-fitted to the rail with no noise and no binding.
04
Damping parameters Damping value and return time are sampled per batch; the band is per drawing, not a blanket figure.
05
Materials & incoming POM bodies, plated / copper / aluminium shells, stainless rods and cylinders — selected per drawing, sampled per lot.
06
Traceable drawing revisions Every drawing carries a revision and date; changes are archived, so a shipment can be matched back to its revision.
05 — DEVELOPMENT

From tooling to mass production, every step is on record

A part is not right the first time; it is right after iterations. What matters is that each iteration records what changed, why, and whether it was verified — in a file, not in someone's memory. Project records are archived per model.

01
Tooling brief The requirement is turned into drawings and a tooling brief that drives mould and process.
02
Tooling data Released drawings and 3D data are archived, each with a revision number and date.
03
Trial-shot findings Each trial run produces a written list of findings — not a verbal handover.
04
Rework & re-verification Before-and-after data is kept, and the part is re-fitted after rework to confirm the issue is actually gone.
05
Frozen production data The verified revision becomes the baseline for material preparation and production, so old and new versions do not mix.
06
Project history All changes are archived per model. Two years on, why a dimension changed is still findable.

06 — CERTIFICATION

Certification and compliance

A strict distinction is kept between certifications we hold and compliance documents we can supply. The two are not conflated, because buyers and customs both check.
